Snapchat’s latest feature has taken a leaf out of Google’s book, now tagging Snaps taken at local businesses with additional information such as location, opening hours, phone number, website info, TripAdvisor reviews and reservations.
The new ‘context cards’ can be found via Snapchat’s search screen, where publically viewable Snaps (ie. those added to ‘Our Story’) are now tagged with a ‘more’ CTA. When activated, this CTA shows other Snaps recently taken at this location as well as a host of business related information pulled from various sources. We were even able to order an Uber to the destination.
According to Mashable, Snapchat has partnered with companies such as Uber, Lyft, Foursquare, OpenTable and TripAdvisor to deliver the new contextual information.
