Twitter’s $99 Advertising Subscription

Twitter has begun trialling a new advertising model that will give users the opportunity to have their Tweets automatically ‘promoted’, without the need to set up an advertising campaign. Upon signing up, the user is asked to define a broad target audience, to whom the platform will then automatically promote a number of Tweets each day towards. This option provides very little flexibility and control over the advertising and has been suggested as a tool for providing ‘an overall bump’ in reach in lieu of an actual objective driven campaign.
