Working closely with Alzheimers South Australia we developed a digital ecosystem consisting of a new brand, film, cross-platform app and website for ‘Cultura’, a service which provides information about different cultures and how to provide a better cultural care for people living with dementia.
With a growing and culturally diverse population, Australia currently has over 413,000 people living with dementia. Affecting thinking, behaviour and the ability to perform everyday tasks, it is often hard for these people to communicate exactly what they need and how they are feeling. This requires health care workers to adopt a much more personal style of care; understanding the diverse and rich cultural nuances that make up a person to provide that deeper level of care.
We were tasked by Alzheimer’s Australia SA to create cultural caring platform ‘Cultura’ – a service which provides information about different cultures and how to care for people from different cultural backgrounds. We worked closely with Alzheimer’s Australia SA to deliver this project and their knowledge of such a complex subject ensured the content remained relevant and invaluable for carers.
We also made sure Cultura was developed across all screen sizes and types (Android, iPhone, iPad and a responsive web) so that health care workers have every opportunity to either spend time researching in depth or quickly pull out their mobile to access information quickly.”
A touching film was also created for the launch event. It takes just seven seconds to judge someone the first time you meet them. We thought it’d be nice to test this theory and hopefully open a few eyes in the process.
